Systems which are already designed for higher line speeds, can be inexpensively upgraded with modern measuring and control technology. The demand for higher dynamics is often limited by the mechanical encoders. In this case the noncontact length and speed measurement system ASCOspeed is used, which measures slip-free the exact web speed.
